Lanth'Event: "Virgilio Guidi. Drawings and poems".

From May 1st to 30rd, in the picturesque setting of Lanthia Resort, will take place the exhibition "Virgilio Guidi. Drawings and poems".

From May 1st to 30rd, in the picturesque setting of Lanthia Resort, in Santa Maria Navarrese, will take place the exhibition: "Virgilio Guidi. Drawings and poems. "
The exhibition aims to enhance and propose works from the private collection of prof. Luigi Candida (Taranto 1907 - Venice 1981), Italian geographer and Chancellor of the University Ca 'Foscari of Venice.
The attention to one of the greatest Italian masters of the twentieth century, will be focused on the so-called "third period", which is in its second and final visit in Venice, from 1944 until his death in 1984. Approximately 20 works will be exhibited. Drawings and poems.
The fame and talent undisputed Virgilio Guidi, basic key figure in art, culture and poetry of the last century, have been witnessed and recognized by the presence of his works in major museums such as the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Vatican Museums, the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, as well as the countless Venice Biennale in which he took part in the twentieth century, and that marked the various periods and moments of his career, vibrant and prolific until the his death.
Very much aware of the main artistic movements of the twentieth century, Guidi always followed a deeply personal way, while maintaining its stylistic independence as regards both the great Italian twentieth-century and European players in the so-called Magic Realism.
Of great importance and originality were, in the second half of the sixties, the years when the attendance with prof. Candida starts, its researches to an unprecedented representation of feminine beauty, in response to widespread mass-typical iconography of Pop Art.
